Parental feedback on RSE from a religious perspective

Parental feedback

My ongoing concern is that religious backgrounds as a protected characteristic has been pigeon holed into tackling racism rather than sex and relationships (in which it is uniquely qualified, having a higher success rate for long lasting relationships than any other group). Amongst this group are black Christians. A sincere commitment to be inclusive needs to allow those who have different values to speak for themselves.

Where RSE can accommodate faith perspectives

The religious viewpoint on RSE offers well thought through, tried and tested wisdom which matches up with the (often scientific) evidence and experience of the world around us. The government guidelines require the content to reflect the religious background of the pupils. On the left is the proposed RSE topic, on the right is a steer towards the religious perspective.
