Mermaids – one of the UK’s leading transgender charities – teaches that gender is not binary (male/female) but is on a spectrum.
This contradicts basic biology and scientific understanding of human beings, yet schools invite Mermaids in for training, and increasingly teach children Gender Theory that this is based on.
From 2017-2019, Mermaids was funded by the Department for Education to deliver training in 40 schools as part of a partnership of multiple organisations, through the LGBT Consortium.
